1. A modern modular sculpture installation of a robot with a southwest facade of adobe.
2. Location: North right side of the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Abq NM.
3. This work is a correlation between today’s pop driven culture, traditional Indigenous mythology and folklore. Many traditional pueblo stories have depictions of non-human figures that have been both protectors and behavioral enforcers. Popular culture today is a bombardment of fictional characters telling tales of heroic battles. This work creates a reflection upon traditional stories within pueblo culture that can be viewed in a modern depiction. This installation is meant to engage the communities of the youth and elderly to participate in its depiction, by building community awareness of oral traditional stories that creates dialogue and brings ideologies together.
